Nightlife: Beer-geek revolution - It’s almost clichéd to say this, but it’s true: Beer is the new wine. And one of the best places to experience beer at its finest is at Busters on 28th, a hidden gem in south Minneapolis. “People aren’t coming in to have six Budweisers,” said owner Nick Miller, who also co-owns the Happy Gnome. At Busters, he said, customers define excess as: “How hoppy is my beer?” After finding success with Busters, Miller said he’s hoping to open two more beer bars this summer.

Finally got to Buster’s this past weekend. Loved the chipotle wings and the fries. Started off with the Delirium, which I do not like at all. I’ve come to the conclusion that I can no longer tolerate real wheatey beers. But then my server bailed me out by recommending an Avery draft that is no longer on the menu but still tapped. I can’t remember which one it was, but the alcohol content was over 10. It was a lager-type with a real rich flavor. Loved it. I really wish I would’ve been better prepared for the place. Now that I’ve had time to break down the selections, I plan to go back frequently, so if you ever wanna hit up some happy hours Moe let me know.

  2. Cool, glad you went. I’m always willing to go so what nights work best for you?
