Looking to 2010: The DFLers: MNpublius collects a list of some of the possible candidates for Governor in 2010. Included are Mark Dayton, Ramsey County Attorney Susan Gaertner, US Rep Tim Walz, Mpls Mayor R.T. Rybak, and St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman.

I’d love for RT to be the governor, but I’d miss him in Mpls. I just think it would be great for one of the cities mayors to run the state. Would definitely bring some attention back to the core.

I’d just worry about who’d replace R.T.
Ostrow/Johnson/Schiff would be ok, but everyone else on the City council scares me.

How about Coleman then? That way the core cities would still get a lot of attention, but Mpls would get to keep their mayor. Screw St. Paul!
