No Country for Old Men (2007): Walked up to the Riverview Theater Saturday night to see my first best picture nominee from last year. Had I not known that it was up for so many awards, I never would have expected it, since it just didn’t seem like a movie that would be so well reviewed. But I really enjoyed it and would probably rank it as high as any other Coen brothers film. Javier Bardem was damn good in it as well. (4/5)

Just kidding. Tale of two movies for me. Loved No Country until the end (although I DO like the very last scene; hated the 10 minutes before it) … Was bored to death with Blood UNTIL the end. Awesome final scene, right down to the choice of music.
