Cycling in the city

Cycling in the city: Bike culture in the City of Lakes isn’t just about transportation — it’s a movement, run by a growing community of people who are dedicated to a number of open-ended causes: the environment, healthy living and social justice. The goal of nearly any bike enthusiast is to inspire others to ride and enjoy the benefits of cycling through our gorgeous city.

Ha. They should’ve profiled me. I bike every day and I look like a total dork. If any potential bikers need assurance that they can bike with the massive clique of fixed gear hipsters, take a look at this guy (thumbs right at me) on his Giant Cypress comfort bike with the wide saddle.

I kid of course. There are all sorts out there and I just commented to Shannon this morning that the light rail path seems busier. Good news!

Bikers reducing rush hour traffic on busy streets to one lane = rage.

B, you’d be much calmer if you were biking!

Dedicated bike lanes so bikers do not interfere with traffic on busy streets = win-win solution.
